Dance Temple is thrilled to welcome Mose on his 2023 North American Tour for…

Mose - Cacao Dance

Our dance journey this month will be guided by internationally renowned sound alchemist & organic electronic music producer, MOSE, who will also be supported by special musical guests throughout the evening.

Through dance, movement & stillness - you will be immersed in an awe-inspiring body-mind-spirit connection.

We will be opening the space with a simple cacao ceremony, facilitated by Bruna Bortolato, to open the heart and activate our senses for the journey into sound. Mose will then inspire movement through a 2 hour dance journey, accompanied by the the ethereal vocals of Matia Kalli.

7:00-7:30: Doors - Opening DJ set

7:30-8:00: Welcome Ceremony; Intention Setting & Cacao

8:00-10:00: DANCE JOURNEY W/ MOSE feat. Live Vocalist Matia Kalli

:::About MOSE:::

“Great music is that which carries the present minded listener to the doorstep of infinity. All music already exists the musician is here in service to remove a bit of the veil and let some of it through into this physical space. Through the use of a steady hypnotic beat, paired with ethereal voices and melodies we can release into the void and remember who we are - we are one.”

Mose is based in Guatemala on the beautiful volcanic crater lake of Atitlán where cacao ceremonies, kirtan, and ecstatic dance have had a major influence on his productions and DJ style. It is here that he founded regular cacao dances where members of the community have the opportunity to journey deep into dance while held in a ceremonial container, free of alcohol.

Beyond the multicultural rhythms and the steady hypnotic beat, Mose weaves ephemeral chanting of sacred songs and calls to love, kindness and compassion, often bringing in live musicians to create something improvisational connected with that particular place and time. He creates with the intention to set a foundation for self discovery and the cultivation of a present minded state which offers new insights and deeper clarity in ones purpose.

We try to keep a silent container on our dance floors to encourage participants to stay with the dance without distraction.  All bodies, movements & emotions are welcome during our dances as long as your actions hold respect for those around you.
There will be areas where you can talk and connect with community outside the main dance floor area.

1. We Dance Without Words - to drop into a meditative state with the dance.

2.  We dance barefoot - to connect to the earth (shoes are ok if needed for medical reasons!)

3. We Dance As We Are - No Drugs/Alcohol
